Support period
Enter the period for which you provided maintenance payments (e.g. 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2025).
The support period begins at the earliest with the first actual payment and ends with the last. Retroactive consideration before the payment date is not possible.
Example:
- Your adult child completed their training in February 2025 and is then unemployed. From March, you support them financially.
→ Support period: March to December 2025.
Important: In principle, the support period begins at the earliest with the first maintenance payment. Maintenance payments cannot be backdated to months before their payment.
Note: If the payment only starts in December, only 1/12 of the maximum maintenance amount can be considered. A payment in January, on the other hand, can be claimed up to the full maximum amount (for 12 months).
