Field help: Have you made donations to political parties?

Select "yes" if you have made donations or membership fees to a political party.

Donations and membership fees to political parties receive a special tax benefit.

Half of your expenses are deducted directly from your income tax. This applies to payments up to 1.650 Euro, or 3.300 Euro for jointly assessed spouses.

Beyond this amount, further payments up to 1.650 Euro (or 3.300 Euro for jointly assessed spouses) can be considered as special expenses.

The tax benefit only applies to parties eligible for state party funding.

You can enter donations and contributions to the following parties, for example:

CDU - Christian Democratic Union of Germany
SPD - Social Democratic Party of Germany
DIE LINKE - The Left
GRÜNE - Alliance 90/The Greens
CSU - Christian Social Union in Bavaria
AfD - Alternative for Germany
FDP - Free Democratic Party
PIRATEN - Pirate Party Germany
FREIE WÄHLER - Free Voters
LKR - Liberal Conservative Reformers
BVB / FREIE WÄHLER - Brandenburg United Civic Movements/Free Voters
SSW - South Schleswig Voter Federation
FAMILIE - Family Party of Germany
BIW - Citizens in Rage
NPD - National Democratic Party of Germany
ÖDP - Ecological Democratic Party
Die PARTEI - Party for Labour, Rule of Law, Animal Protection, Promotion of Elites and Grassroots Democratic Initiative
