Field help:
Did you have travel expenses commuting to work?
Select "yes" if you wish to declare journeys between your home and your primary place of work.
For these journeys, the tax office applies the distance allowance, also known as the commuter allowance. It applies regardless of whether you walk, cycle, use a motorcycle, public transport, or drive to work.
The key factors are the one-way distance between your home and primary place of work and the number of days you actually worked there.
Example: Your primary place of work is 15 kilometres from your home. If you work there on 200 days, 15 km × 200 days × 0.38 Euro = 1.140 Euro will be considered as the distance allowance.
Note: This option cannot be deselected if tax-free employer reimbursements for travel expenses are shown on your income tax statement.
In this case, please also enter the corresponding journeys. Only then can it be checked whether the tax-free reimbursements exceed your deductible travel expenses.
