Identification number
Enter the 11-digit tax identification number provided to you in writing by the Federal Central Tax Office. It is often abbreviated as IdNr or Steuer-ID.
You can usually find your identification number on your last income tax assessment notice, on your pay slip, and on any correspondence from your tax office.
If you cannot find your tax ID, you can submit your income tax return without the tax ID to your tax office. They have your identification number on file.
Note: If you no longer have your tax ID, you can request it from the Federal Central Tax Office. It will be sent to you by post.
