Children who are assigned to the mother
Specify the number of children to be assigned to the mother for calculating the child benefit. The amount of the child benefit is then determined depending on the date of birth of the children.
In the case of natural parents, adoptive or foster parents who have their place of residence or habitual abode in an EU or EEA member state and are married to each other, and who have lived together in the year 2018, the child benefit - irrespective of whether the child benefit has been paid to the father or mother - is, in principle, paid to the mother, but may be transferred to the father.
The child benefit is 154 Euro for children born before 2008 and 300 Euro for children born after 2008.
