Field help: What care level (or mark H) has been determined?

Enter here the care level of the person receiving care here.

The highest care level determined in the calendar year is what counts for the granting of the nursing care allowance. The classification is carried out by the Medical Service (formerly MDK).

Care levels

  • Care level 1: Slight impairment of mobility or abilities (no nursing care allowance)
  • Care level 2: Significant impairments
  • Care level 3: Severe impairments
  • Care level 4: Most severe impairments
  • Care level 5: Most severe impairments with special care requirements

Sign "H" (in constant need of help)

Alternatively, you can enter the mark "H" that is indicated on the severely disabled person's pass. This mark is also recognised for the consideration of the nursing care allowance.

Proof of need for care: Provide proof of the need for care in the form of a notification from the care insurance fund or a severely disabled person's pass with the "H" mark.

Note: Care level 1 is the lowest level of care required. This level means a minor impairment of independence. The nursing care allowance is therefore not granted for care level 1.
