Field help:
Information about buildings for which increased depreciation is claimed in accordance with sections 7h or 7i of the Income Tax Act (EStG) is required in the "Explanation" field. These regulations apply to renovations in redevelopment areas, urban development areas or listed buildings.
Required information:
- Acquisition costs: Total costs of the building and the renovation.
- Renovation costs: Amount of eligible modernisation or maintenance expenses.
- Depreciation: Increased depreciation, for example, 9% annually over 10 years (sections 7h or 7i of the Income Tax Act (EStG)).
- Approval: Confirmation from the relevant authority of the subsidised measures.
Example: A listed residential building was purchased on 01.04.2024 for 500.000,00 Euro. The renovation costs of 200.000,00 Euro have been confirmed by the listed building authority. 9% of the renovation costs are depreciated over 10 years (18.000,00 Euro per year). The building is rented out.
