Field help:
Did you have insurance that covers work-related risks?
Select "yes" if you want to include contributions to work-related insurance in your tax return as income-related expenses.
Which types of insurance are fully tax deductible?
Insurance policies that cover exclusively occupational risks can be claimed in full as income-related expenses. These include, for example:
- Occupational accident insurance (e.g. for tradespeople or field representatives).
- Professional and public liability insurance (e.g. for doctors, teachers or architects).
- Occupational travel baggage insurance (e.g. for those who frequently travel on business).
- Occupational legal expenses insurance (e.g. for disputes within the employment relationship).
What applies to combined insurance policies?
If an insurance policy covers both professional and private risks (e.g. personal liability insurance with a professional supplement), only the professional portion is deductible. This portion should be listed by the insurer in a comprehensible manner.
