Select "yes" if you provide information on a disability for the first time in the assessment period 2021 and have not yet submitted any proof to your tax office.
To provide proof, submit the following documents to the tax office if they have not already been submitted in previous years:
- severely disabled pass or
- pension approval notice from the social services office
- statement from the care insurance fund (for nursing care level (Pflegegrad) 4 or 5)
If you have been determined to have a degree of disability of less than 50 but at least 20, you may provide proof of the disability by means of a pension notice (Rentenbescheid) from the social services office or a statutory accident insurance (Unfallversicherung) or - in the case of civil servants who receive an accident pension (Unfallruhegeld) - by means of a notice from their authority.
